About twenty Friends of Geoffrey gathered together this morning, and shared their thoughts and feelings today, about Nature, Geoffrey and our World. Each person took their turn and shared their thoughts, plus excerpts from their favorite writings or poems. It was a wonderful day to share with those who gathered and with Mr. "G" who was definitely with us...in spirit. The "bench" also welcomed us. See below pictures...

What:	A Geoffrey Platts Earth Day Celebrationand morning get-together.
When:	Saturday, April 15, 2006, from 10am to 12pm
Where:	Geoffrey's bench at Jewel of the Creek Preserve in Cave Creek and a picnic down below at the creek.
Why:	To honor the memory of our naturalist friend, Geoffrey Platts (whose birthday is April 14), and to reaffirm the importance of Planet Earth's Day.   We hope to gather together like minds for sharing poetry, prose and good conversation about Mother Nature.
What to bring:	Water bottle, your lunch, hat, something to sit on, and suitable shoes to walk the trail from bench to creek for a portion of the morning.
